We apply the principles of lean manufacturing:
Standardized work – We believe that standardized processes and procedures are the greatest key to create consistent performance. It is only when the process is stable, that you can begin the creative progression of continuous improvement.
5S – We use the method of 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) to have a clean, safe and effective workplace, every day.
Problem solving – By making problems visible and solve them collaboratively, we strive to get to root cause and solve problems once for all.
Visual management – Visual management supports the standardized work and processes. We use visual metrics to track our progress. Leaders frequently challenge the status quo. This way, obstacles to the path of perfection are exposed and identified.
Continuous improvement – Our people, who possess the skills of solving problems and the ability to continuously improve, will remove the exposed obstacles and eliminate waste in processes by applying continuous improvement methods (kaizen, PDCA, Ishikawa, KATA…).
We believe that an inclusive mindset is a necessity, so that we – individually and collectively – can do our best work:
Team meetings A standardized process of team meetings is used to share information, discuss problems, follow up actions and escalate obstacles to the right level in the organization.
Leadership A leader acts as a sponsor to his team members: he provides information, he escalates problems and he takes the required decisions.
A leader also acts as a coach: he listens, observes, motivates and continuously gives feedback to the team.
Team organization At Mithra, a team is made strong by its composition. A team with people of complementary experiences, strengths and personalities strives to the best results, takes initiative and can handle a broad variety of situations.
Team tasks and responsibility Team tasks are varied, team responsibility is broad. This leads to higher team knowledge, increased end-to-end commitment and more alternating work. We challenge our people to higher levels!
